A life-long animal lover, Rene finally got the horses of her dreams. First was Oz, a giant Dutch Warmblood. Next was Kiefer, a quarter horse. Then along came two miniature horses, Rootbeer & Edward (pictured with Rene). In need of a new home when their human partner moved away, Rene immediately fell in love and said "yes," ... not realizing they would change her life forever. Observant, she watched as Rootbeer and Edward's simple presence brought happiness and smiles to everyone they met. Seeing their impact, Rene engaged them as service horses. Their story is a heartwarming journey of how they met their fears and challenges, built relationships, and brought joy to everyone, especially those persons experiencing challenges. The compassionate, tender-hearted minis now live a life of play and purpose. Young readers will be entertained and touched by Rene's book, Mini Horses, Mighty Hearts, Rootbeer & Edward - Change, Kindness & Purpose, a delightful story filled with wisdom, humor, and even a bit of suspense. Coming soon, its publication will be announced on WIC and WIC's Facebook page so stay tuned!
